1990  The Rolling Stones UK and US Charts  Terrifying

Credited to Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, 'Terrifying' was recorded at Monserrat's Air Studios and London's Olympic Studios in the spring months of 1989.
Its '7" Remix' version was the fourth single from the album 'Steel Wheels' and only released in the UK and Holland [for European distribution].
The Dutch single [CBS 655661] was released on February 26th - the day the band played at the Tokyo Dome, c/w 'Wish I'd Never Met You', a non-album track which also featured on the B-side of the previously issued UK-only 'Almost Hear You Sigh' single.
The British version of 'Terrifying' [CBS 656 122] was issued in the middle of the 'Urban Jungle' tour, a few weeks before the London dates, with 'Rock And A Hard Place' on the flip side.
'Terrifying' only reached #82 in the UK charts.
Parallely, in mid-August, Holland issued an ultimate single 'Sad Sad Sad' [CBS 656197].

Picture sleeves from around the world

The Rolling Stones - Terrifying Spanish promo PSSpain produced a promo-only 1-sided pressing of 'Terrifying' in a unique 'Disco de Platino' PS.
Despite different tracklistings and catalogue numbers, the Dutch and UK PS used the same artwork [the UK had an extra round sticker on indicating its B-side].
A 12" remix version was pressed in the UK [c/w the 'Rock And A Hard Place' Dance mix + the 'Harlem Shuffle' London mix] and in Holland [the 3 versions of the song + 'Wish I'd Never Met You'] with the same artwork. A Dutch promo-only 12" issue [SAMP 1385] in a black titled sleeve was also made, as well as various 3" & 5" CD singles.

Note that the track was also issued on blue flexi disc in Russia with - or without in b&w art sleeves - magazine 'Krugosor' in August 1990 c/w 2 others tracks from 'Steel Wheels': 'Blinded By Love' & 'Hold On To Your Hat' and other artist on the flip side.

10 editions worldwide include 'Terrifying' on the 7" format.

Terrifying
[Mick Jagger / Keith Richards]

No matter what you say, no matter what you do
I'm lazy as a lion, my body's just for you

Crazy for you

I'm sneaky as a snake, I'm dirty as a dog The Rolling Stones - Terrifying UK 7" PS
I'm rutting like a goat, I'm horny as a hog

Terrifying love
I get these strange, strange, strange desires
Strange, strange, strange desires

You're graceful as a bird, my heart is on the wing
You're gentle as a dove, a hummingbird could sing

Crazy

You're running like a deer, I'm wily as a fox
You're faster than a mare, I'm stronger than a ox

I'm faithful as a swan, I'm darker than a bat
I'm friendly as a bear but tougher than a rat

That's right

No matter what you say, no matter what you do
I'm restless as a cat all caged up in a zoo

That's all right

Crazy about you
Crazy for you
