Rhodesian / Zimbabwean 7" discography [33 official releases + 15 variations]
The [South] Rhodesian / Zimbabwean discography is very close to the South African's one as all 7" releases - except for two 80's numbers - bear South African catalogue numbers and labels designs, while sometimes housed in South African covers.
In 1964, the protectorate of Northern Rhodesia was no longer in existence, and Southern Rhodesia reverted to the name Rhodesia, yet the mention 'MADE IN S. RHODESIA' etched in the grooves of Rhodesian pressings would last until early 1966. Labels were printed in South Africa and imported, so this matrix mention and the fact that all Rhodesian pressings have triangular center labels are the only ways to differentiate a South African from a Rhodesian pressing.
Note that some triangular center labels can be South African and not Rhodesian though.
The Decca years [1964-1971]
The RSR / EMI / CBS years [1971-1986]
Let alone a single in 1976, the RSR era is obscure as no Rhodesian pressing seem to exist - singles were then probably imported from South Africa.
Renamed Zimbabwe in 1980, the country would issue typical EMI red & cream label designs until 1984.
The last single from Zimbabwe was 'Harlem Shuffle' in 1986 which sported different labels from its South African neighbour.
