Mexico Mexican 7" discography / The RSR - EMI years [1978-1984]

EMI logoIn 1978, the band is distributed by EMI. From now on, the Mexican singles discography is directly inspired from the UK one, with a couple of distinctions.

Except for 'Respectable' [8214] which was distributed into a plastic EMI company sleeve, all marketed records came out within fold-out picture covers under a plastic protection sleeve.

The Rolling Stones - Let's Spend The Night Together (live) - Mexico EMI SEC-219 • Mexico discography: The RSR - EMI years [1978-1984]

The rarest and most significant release is the promo issue of 'Let's Spend The Night Together' c/w 'Start Me Up' [SEC-219] made to promote the Hal Ashby movie of the same name in 1983, which offered an exclusive drawing and artwork.
Note that this live promotional-only single was only released elsewhere in the UK [RSR 112 DJ] and Japan in another super rare unique picture cover.
The studio version of the track was also to be the main theme of a Mexican TV show later on, which gave birth to a promo-only 12" in a unique PS in 1991.
