Warner Records were distributed by Ricordi in Italy until 1974, then WEA itself.
If the first three singles from the Rolling Stones Records catalogue 'Brown Sugar' [RS 19100], 'Tumbling Dice' [RS 19103] and 'Angie' [RS 19105] had similar picture covers to elsewhere, the last four were unique to Italy.
Also exclusive was a promo-only issue of 'Angie' c/w 'Cherry Oh Baby', a single in black & white picture cover given free with the A3-sized magazine 'Spettacoli & Societa' in May 1976 [+ an extra A4-sized promo sheet].
Promo white labels were issued for each single but the first three singles were coupled with other artists on the flip side - a habit that would pop up again and persist until the last Italian 7" in 1997. The latter were: 'Brown Sugar' [J.B. 12 & J.B. 19], 'Tumbling Dice' [J.B. 31 c/w Silver], 'Angie' [J.B. 41 - c/w Elton John's 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' and 'Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo' [J.B. 54 - c/w Mike Oldfield's 'Tubular Bells'].

From the beginning of the 70s, the 'S.I.A.E' [authors society] red stamp was a mandatory mention on all Italian labels, promo or not.![The Rolling Stones - Ain't Too Proud To Beg - promo labels • Italy discography: The RSR - Warner years [1971-1977] The Rolling Stones - Ain't Too Proud To Beg - promo labels • Italy discography: The RSR - Warner years [1971-1977]](rsr/img/aint_wl.png)
The 3 covers issued in 1974 used unique 'live' shots - same picture on both sides - and got very desirable over the years.
Except for the second one though, the famous tongue logo mistakenly appeared in mirror on these artworks.
Italians indeed opted for 'Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)' [RS 19109] as the second single from 'Goats Head Soup' rather than 'Star
Star' - out in France or Germany.
For some reason, 'It's Only Rock'n'Roll' [RS 19301] bore the US number instead of 'RS 19114', the UK one.

The picture sleeve for 'Fool To Cry' [W 19121], in April 1976, remains one of the few exclusive picture sleeve made for this single worldwide.
