Twenty-two singles and one EP were produced by Decca Greece from 1964 to 1973, about half being inspired from the British catalogue.
All issues are on dark blue labels, with the curved Decca logo until 1967 - boxed afterwards - and distributed into local company sleeves, firstly brown & red, then blue & white, as for the UK.
Only one picture sleeve has been documented so far, for 'Not Fade Away'.
The 'Stones' misspelling on the flip of the first single is no surprise but the B-side of 'Not Fade Away', 'Bye Bye Johnny', is exclusive to Greece.
The next 2 singles 'Money' [GD 5058] and 'It's All Over Now' [GD 5060] also were unique couplings.
In total, 6 singles were issued in 1964 only.
The fifth single 'Route 66' / 'Tell Me' [GD 5065] was incidentally also issued in Belgium, but 'Time Is On My
Side' happened to be a new B-side for 'The Last Time' [GD 5073] and the 'Heart Of Stone' / 'Around & Around' [GD 5074] combination that immediately followed was as unique.
Five different labels variations attest the success of 'Satisfaction' [GD 5080] in Greece as well, curiously coupled here with the original UK B-side 'The Spider & The Fly'.
The Greek discography offers other curiosities like the single 'Can I Get A Witness' / 'Walking The Dog' [GD 5090] issued in 1966, or 'I'm A King Bee' as the B-side of 'Paint It, Black' [GD 5097].
Its major rarities though remain the three multicolored vinyl editions of the singles 'Let's Spend The Night Together' [GD 5120], 'We Love You' [GD 5129], and 'Jumpin' Jack Flash' [GD 5144].
No more than 200 copies each of these gorgeous singles would have been made, 'Let's Spend The Night Together' existing both with a large hole or with push-out center labels.
Of course, these 3 singles were also released on black vinyl.
Only Iran and possibly Pakistan produced colored vinyl of the Rolling Stones during the 60s.
Greek singles are generally much sought-after. Apart from the colored vinyl issues, exclusive couplings are more valuable than the usual ones, but the last three releases seem to have been issued in very limited runs - especially the 3-track EP 'Street Fighting Man' [GD 5180].
'Satisfaction' [GD 5080] was the only reissue from Greece and exists with three different 'boxed Decca' labels.
Note that the 70s 'Äge d'Or' reissues series were only issued on LP in this country.
